Images from a security camera caught the crime on Estrada dos Costas, this Tuesday (6). The victim, who has previous experience with the police, died at the scene.

A man was executed with several rifle and pistol shots, this Tuesday afternoon (6), on Estrada dos Costas, in Jardim das Palmeiras, in Rio Claro (SP). Security cameras caught the crime. The images are strong.

According to the Civil Police, the victim is Sérgio Eduardo Aparecido Fazio da Costa . He was inside a pickup truck and, when he stopped at a traffic light, he was approached and pursued by two criminals who were in another vehicle.

After being shot at, he lost control of the truck, which climbed onto the sidewalk and crashed into a pharmacy.

One of the men in the car went to the truck and fired dozens of rifle shots at the vehicle. Afterwards, he opened the truck door and fired more shots – this time with a pistol – at close range.

Costa, who had several passages by the police for theft, died at the scene. The criminals managed to escape.

The Military Police are responding to the incident, together with the General Investigation Department (DIG) of the Civil Police. The case will be registered and investigated.
