PAKISTAN — A mob of people killed a suspected thief and seriously injured another in Karachi’s Azizabad neighborhood Saturday. The two suspected thieves were trying to escape on a motorcycle after robbing a cell phone store at gunpoint in Karimabad — but the mob started chasing them. The suspects then abandoned their bike and tried fleeing on another motorcycle they stole from a mechanic shop nearby when the mob caught onto them. The angry group beat up the robbers and tortured them, before someone in the crowd opened fire and killed one of the thieves. Police arrived at the scene and took both suspects to an area hospital. Police are searching for the man who shot the thief dead.
