A 35-year-old man was fatally stabbed in broad daylight after allegedly being attacked by the son of his partner during a family dispute in Jetpur, Gujarat, India.

According to police, the victim had been living with the suspect's mother in a long-term live-in relationship, which the suspect had reportedly opposed for several years. Investigators believe the accused travelled to Jetpur armed with a knife and waited for the victim to leave his home.

The attack occurred while the victim was walking to buy buttermilk. CCTV footage shows the suspect chasing and repeatedly stabbing him in the street as bystanders looked on. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital.

Police arrested the accused shortly after the incident. Investigators are also examining the role of another individual seen in the CCTV footage to determine whether anyone else was involved in planning or assisting with the attack.

The investigation remains ongoing.
