A 20-year-old amusement park employee died after being struck by a moving ride at an amusement park in Amasya, Turkey, in a tragic workplace accident captured on security cameras.

The victim, identified as Burak Kırıkçı, was working near the "Ranger" ride, commonly known as the "Kamikaze," when he entered a restricted operating area after leaving the operator's cabin. Moments later, the descending ride struck him and dragged him across the ground. The incident was captured on CCTV footage.

Bystanders immediately rushed to assist the injured worker before emergency responders transported him to hospital. Despite receiving medical treatment, Kırıkçı later died from his injuries. His body was subsequently returned to his hometown of Bafra for burial.

Following the incident, authorities closed the amusement park and launched both criminal and administrative investigations. The park owner and the operations manager were arrested after appearing before a court in connection with the ongoing investigation.

Investigators continue to review the surveillance footage and other evidence to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the fatal accident and whether safety procedures were properly followed.
