A 27-year-old woman was shot and killed outside her residence in Santo Ângelo, Rio Grande do Sul, on the evening of June 2, in what authorities are investigating as a targeted homicide.

The victim was identified as Daliane de Souza Barriquello. According to investigators, she was standing in front of her home on Rua do Retiro in the Santa Fé neighborhood shortly before 8:00 p.m. when two men arrived on a motorcycle.

Security camera footage reportedly captured the incident. The video shows the motorcycle approaching the residence before the occupants allegedly opened fire on the victim at close range. Despite being wounded, Daliane attempted to run toward the property but collapsed moments later.

Emergency responders were called to the scene, but the victim died from her injuries before she could receive further medical treatment. The suspects fled immediately after the shooting and remained at large at the time of reporting.

Military Police secured the area while forensic teams collected evidence. The investigation has since been transferred to the Civil Police, who are working to determine the motive behind the killing and identify those responsible.

The homicide has shocked residents of the Santa Fé neighborhood and marked one of the latest violent incidents in Santo Ângelo, where authorities continue efforts to address rising concerns over violent crime.
