A man was seriously injured after being stabbed during a violent altercation near Arenal Beach in Xàbia, Spain, in the early hours of Sunday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 5:20 a.m. in an area known for its nightlife and weekend crowds.

According to preliminary information, a fight broke out involving several individuals near the beachfront entertainment district. During the confrontation, one of those involved allegedly produced a sharp object and attacked the victim, stabbing him multiple times. Authorities said the victim suffered four stab wounds, including at least one to the upper chest area near the shoulder, resulting in serious injuries.

Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and provided treatment before transporting the injured man to a hospital for urgent care. Despite the severity of his injuries, he was alive when taken from the scene.

Before being transported, the victim reportedly told authorities that he did not know the attacker and requested police assistance. Officers from the Local Police and the Civil Guard launched an investigation immediately after the incident.

Investigators are working to establish the circumstances that led to the fight and identify the person responsible for the stabbing. No arrests had been announced at the time of reporting, and the motive for the attack remains unclear.
