Two young men died after a group filming a reckless high-speed drive crashed into a tree in Rolim de Moura, Brazil.

According to authorities, the driver was travelling at nearly 140 km/h while sitting in a beach chair that had been placed inside the vehicle instead of the original driver’s seat. Video recorded moments before the crash reportedly captured the group speeding and driving dangerously before losing control of the car.

A 16-year-old teenager and a 20-year-old man were killed in the collision, while three other occupants suffered critical injuries and were rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.

Police stated that the vehicle had been swerving at high speed before slamming into the tree. Officers also recovered alcoholic beverage bottles from inside the car as part of the ongoing investigation into the crash.
