Two women were injured, one of them seriously, after a tractor driver allegedly ran them over during a violent land dispute in Nashik district, Maharashtra, India.

According to reports, the incident occurred in the Pimpalgaon Baswant area amid an ongoing dispute over agricultural land involving members of the Gosavi family. Authorities stated that the disputed property was already under a court-issued stay order when several individuals allegedly brought a rented tractor onto the land and began ploughing it.

An argument reportedly broke out after Ajay Gosavi, along with Rashmi Ajay Gosavi and Suvarna Subhash Gosavi, confronted the tractor driver over the activity on the land. During the confrontation, the driver allegedly accelerated the tractor toward the women, running them over in what police described as an attempted attack. The incident was captured on video and later spread across social media.

The injured women were taken to a hospital in Pimpalgaon for treatment, with police confirming that one of them remains in serious condition.

Authorities identified the accused as Rishikesh Nikhil Gosavi, Abhishek Ninad Gosavi, and several others. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
