A 53-year-old man was injured after being struck from behind by a loose bull in Paudalho, Pernambuco, Brazil.

Security camera footage shows the man walking down a street with two dogs when the animal suddenly charged and rammed him in the back, launching him into the air.

He was taken to a local emergency care unit approximately 40 minutes later with an injury to his left foot. After undergoing medical evaluation, stitches, and treatment, he was discharged with antibiotics.

Local authorities said they had not received previous complaints about the animal. The Municipal Department of Agriculture stated that daily patrols are conducted to remove loose animals from streets and highways and said there are indications the bull escaped from a private property.
