A 30-year-old man, identified as Werner Xavier de Moura Reske, was killed after being stabbed in the neck during a fight at a bar in Marcelândia, Mato Grosso, Brazil.

According to police, the altercation began on Sunday afternoon when Reske and a 46-year-old man became involved in an argument inside the establishment. Security camera footage shows the suspect pulling out a knife and striking the victim in the neck. Reske attempted to walk away but collapsed moments later and died at the scene.

Emergency responders were called, but the victim was pronounced dead before he could be transported to a hospital.

Investigators said the suspect fled the scene on the back of a motorcycle driven by a 60-year-old man, who was later arrested on suspicion of helping him escape. Police also believe the suspect attempted to arrange transportation to another state while hiding in a nearby wooded area.

The alleged attacker remains at large, and police are continuing their search as the homicide investigation moves forward.
