A motorcyclist was involved in a serious head-on collision with a tractor-trailer on a curved section of road between Cisneros and San Roque in Antioquia, Colombia.

The crash occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 10. Security camera footage from the truck shows the rider entering the curve, losing control of the motorcycle, and crossing into the opposite lane before colliding with the front of the heavy vehicle.

According to preliminary reports, the truck driver was not considered responsible for the incident. The force of the impact was significant, causing the rider’s helmet to be thrown from his head.

Authorities are reviewing the video and other evidence to determine the exact cause of the collision and to confirm the motorcyclist’s condition.
