A small twin-engine aircraft crashed into a residential building in the Silveira neighborhood of Belo Horizonte shortly after takeoff, resulting in multiple fatalities.

According to fire officials, the plane had departed from Pampulha Airport and remained airborne for only a few minutes before losing altitude and colliding with a three-story building.

The pilot and co-pilot died at the scene, while three passengers were rescued and taken to hospital in serious condition. One of the passengers later died from injuries, bringing the death toll to three.

The aircraft struck the stairwell area of the building, preventing more extensive damage. No residents inside the building were injured.

Emergency services responded to the scene and secured the area. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
