A man was shot and killed outside a residence in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco.

According to reports, the incident occurred at night on a street in the Palestina neighborhood. The victim, identified as a 52-year-old man, was standing in front of a house when he was approached by armed individuals.

Witnesses indicated that the assailants arrived and opened fire at close range, striking the victim multiple times. The attackers fled the scene shortly after the shooting.

Emergency services were called, but the victim died at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.

Authorities have launched an investigation and are working to identify those responsible and determine the motive behind the killing.
