A 14-year-old boy died after falling from a terrace while attempting to film a social media video in Hyderabad, in the Indian state of Telangana.

According to reports, the teenager, identified as Mithun, had aspirations of gaining popularity on platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook by creating short-form video content.

On April 5, he reportedly went to the terrace of a multi-story building with friends and began performing risky stunts while they recorded the footage. During the attempt, he lost his balance and fell from the height.

The boy sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital by local residents. Despite receiving medical treatment, he later succumbed to his injuries.

CCTV cameras in the area captured the incident, and authorities have registered a case as part of an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fall.

The incident has caused shock in the local community, highlighting the dangers associated with attempting hazardous stunts for social media content.
