A man died after being struck by a train in the city of Barra Mansa, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of April 14 on Alberto Mutel Street, in the central area of the city, near the Ponte dos Arcos. Emergency services were called to the scene following reports of a person being hit on the railway line.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the victim already deceased. The area was secured to allow for initial procedures and investigation.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim, and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. A forensic team was deployed to collect evidence, and the body was scheduled to be transferred to the Forensic Medical Institute in Volta Redonda.

Investigations are ongoing to determine how the incident occurred.
