Newly released body camera and dash camera footage reveals the dramatic conclusion of a multistate police pursuit on Interstate 44 in Missouri connected to the killing of a Texas woman.

Authorities say the chase involved Ryan Phillips, the primary suspect in the death of Delisha Evans, who had been reported missing in Collin County, Texas. Investigators tracked Phillips’ vehicle to Missouri after issuing a missing person alert and using license plate reader data to locate him.

Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers attempted to stop Phillips’ vehicle near the St. Louis area, but he refused to pull over and led officers on a high-speed pursuit along Interstate 44.

During the chase, Phillips’ vehicle eventually crashed. A shootout followed between the suspect and responding troopers. Officers returned fire, striking Phillips, who died at the scene.

After the confrontation ended, authorities discovered the body of Delisha Evans inside the vehicle. Investigators had earlier suspected that Phillips was responsible for her disappearance and possible murder.
