A shocking murder case has emerged from Nagpur in the Indian state of Maharashtra, where a couple allegedly stabbed a man to death after luring him to a secluded area.

According to police, the victim, identified as Sagar Wankhade, had previously been involved in a romantic relationship with the woman before her marriage. The relationship reportedly resumed later and became a source of conflict between the victim and the woman’s husband.

Investigators said the woman contacted the victim and persuaded him to meet her. When he arrived at a deserted road near the Koradi power plant area, the couple allegedly carried out the attack. Authorities said the woman initiated the stabbing before handing the knife to her husband, who then repeatedly stabbed the victim until he died from his injuries.

After the killing, the couple reportedly attempted to head toward a police station with plans to surrender. Officers intercepted them during a search operation and placed them under arrest.

Police have registered a murder case and launched a full investigation into the incident, including examining the circumstances leading up to the attack and the couple’s alleged motive.
