A video circulating on social media shows armed gunmen stopping a civilian vehicle in Guadalajara, Mexico, forcing the driver out before setting the car on fire.

The footage is reportedly linked to a wave of violence that erupted following the killing of Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). In the aftermath of his death, armed groups have been reported burning vehicles, blocking roads, and attacking infrastructure in Guadalajara and other parts of western Mexico.

Authorities have deployed security forces across affected areas as investigations continue into the unrest and related incidents.
