Father Describes Shocking Shotgun Attack on Himself and Young Son in Qalyubia

A man has spoken out after a violent shotgun attack in Qalyubia that left him and his five-year-old son seriously injured. The incident circulated widely on social media, prompting public calls for authorities to apprehend those responsible.

According to the victim’s uncle, the attack stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the family and four alleged assailants in the village of Basous in Al-Qanater Al-Khayriya. He stated that the suspects were known locally for intimidation and violent behavior and had previously forced the family to leave their home due to conflict.

The father and his son were reportedly returning from evening prayers when the suspects took advantage of the fact that they were alone and opened fire using shotgun pellets. In video footage from the scene, the father can be heard pleading with the attackers to spare his child.

Both victims sustained serious injuries. The child suffered a fractured leg caused by the pellets, and family members expressed concern that he may face long-term physical consequences.

Residents shared the footage online and called for swift action by law enforcement. Authorities are expected to continue investigating the case as public concern grows.
