TIGARD, Oregon — Newly released video shows a truck launching roughly 100 feet into the air before crashing through a home early February 13.

Police say the crash happened just before 3 a.m. near Southwest Larkwood Place and Southwest Forest Hollow Street. Investigators say 33-year-old Jacob Hankins was driving west on Southwest Scholls Ferry Road when he struck a dirt mound, went airborne, cleared a three-foot brick wall, and slammed into the side of a residence.

Witnesses reported the truck was speeding and driving recklessly before impact.

Officers arrived to find Hankins and a passenger trapped inside the wreckage. Fire crews extricated both and transported them to a hospital with minor injuries.

No one inside the home was injured, though the property sustained significant structural damage.

Hankins was charged with reckless driving and reckless endangerment.
