A tragic traffic accident in Pasuruan Regency, East Java, Indonesia, left a 7-year-old boy dead after he was struck by a vehicle while waiting for his mother to finish shopping. Surveillance camera footage captured the moment.

The boy, identified by the initials DAN, was sitting on a parked motorcycle on the side of the Pasuruan–Bromo road in Desa Tebas when a car suddenly veered off the road at high speed and collided with him.

The impact sent both the child and the motorcycle flying several meters. Neighbouring residents and the boy’s mother rushed to the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries.

The accident drew widespread attention after CCTV footage showing the collision circulated online. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
