Pickup Truck Loaded with Watermelons Loses Control and Kills Two on TO-030 Highway

A serious traffic accident occurred on the TO-030 highway in the state of Tocantins, Brazil, when a pickup truck loaded with watermelons lost control while descending a steep stretch of road. According to local authorities, the driver was unable to maintain control of the vehicle, which then collided with other vehicles, resulting in a fatal crash. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police reported that after losing control, the pickup struck multiple vehicles, including a motorcycle, contributing to the severity of the incident. Emergency responders arrived shortly afterward to secure the area and assist those involved.

State traffic investigators have launched an inquiry to determine whether speed, road conditions, mechanical failure, or other factors contributed to the loss of control. Traffic on the TO-030 was temporarily disrupted while authorities cleared the wreckage and carried out investigative procedures.
