A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed inside a snack bar in Peixoto de Azevedo, a municipality in the northern region of Mato Grosso, Brazil. Authorities believe the attack may have been motivated by hate.

According to police reports, the incident occurred at approximately 4:35 p.m. when a suspect entered the establishment and approached the victim, who was seated with friends. The assailant drew a firearm and fired multiple rounds. The teenager attempted to flee but was struck and fell to the ground. The gunman then fired additional shots before fleeing the scene on foot.

The victim was hit by at least 14 gunshots and died at the scene.

Police have reviewed surveillance footage and identified a suspect. Officers are actively searching for the individual. The Civil Police investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue gathering witness statements and evidence.
