A baby aged one year and ten months died after being accidentally run over by a pickup truck driven by his uncle in the Central de Abastos area of León, Guanajuato. The incident happened early in the morning at the intersection of Macheteros and Andenes streets.

According to witnesses, the child approached the green Chevrolet Cheyenne while his 24-year-old uncle was inside the vehicle. The driver did not see the child when he began to move, striking him and causing fatal injuries. Despite immediate attempts to help, the baby was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities detained the driver and opened an investigation into the incident.
