A man was shot dead in broad daylight in front of his granddaughters in the La Reja area of Moreno. According to investigators, the victim answered the door after someone rang the bell, exchanged a brief greeting, and was immediately shot at point-blank range.

Security camera footage shows the attacker pulling out a gun and firing twice, hitting the man in the armpit and abdomen, before fleeing to a waiting vehicle parked nearby.

Despite being seriously wounded, the victim managed to ask his granddaughter to call her grandmother, while a neighbour contacted emergency services. He was taken to hospital, where he died two days later.

Prosecutors are treating the case as an aggravated homicide and believe it may be linked to a possible settling of accounts. Investigators are analysing surveillance footage to identify the gunman and track his escape route.
