Electrician dies after being electrocuted while working on a power line in the capital - Honduras

Wilmer Ernesto Rodríguez, 23, an electrician, was identified as the victim who died after being electrocuted while working on a power line in Zone 2 of the Cerro Grande neighborhood in the capital.

According to preliminary information, Rodríguez was attempting to repair electrical wiring near several trees when he came into contact with a live line. Authorities believe strong winds at the time may have contributed to the fatal accident.

Family members arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and were visibly distraught, struggling to come to terms with the sudden tragedy.

Fire Brigade personnel recovered the victim’s body from the utility pole and later handed it over to authorities from the Center for Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences. The body was transported for an autopsy as part of standard investigative procedures.
