Four people were killed in separate violent incidents in Arab communities in northern Israel over the course of one night and the following morning.

In Kiryat Yam, near Haifa, a car explosion killed a 40-year-old man. Two others, a 23-year-old man and a 13-year-old boy, were seriously injured and taken to Rambam Health Care Campus. The man who was killed was later identified as Guy Ben Simon, and the injured boy was his son. Emergency responders found the vehicle smoking, with the victims nearby. Attempts to save the 40-year-old were unsuccessful. Police believe the explosion was criminal in nature and suspect a bomb was placed near the vehicle. Residents reported hearing a powerful blast that shook the area.

In a separate incident early the following morning, three men were shot and killed in a Bedouin village in the Lower Galilee. Two of the victims died at the scene, while the third succumbed to his injuries later at a hospital. Police have opened an investigation into the shooting.

Israeli officials reacted to the violence, warning about the ongoing surge in crime within Arab communities. President Isaac Herzog described the incidents as a tragic reminder of the urgent need to address public safety, while opposition figures criticized the government’s response to rising violence.
