An incident of extreme violence was recorded on Saturday morning (31) at the entrance to the Nelson Costa neighborhood in Ilhéus.

According to preliminary information, two men who were seated at a commercial establishment were attacked by a third individual armed with a machete. The victims were struck multiple times and sustained serious injuries.

Initial reports indicate that an argument had occurred earlier, during which the attacker was allegedly assaulted. He reportedly left the area and later returned, carrying out the attack with the machete.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
