A public transport driver was shot and killed on Tuesday evening in the **Carabayllo** district of Lima, Peru. The victim, identified as **Abraham Jesús Quintanilla Chuquillanqui**, 48, was attacked while refuelling his vehicle at a petrol station.

According to initial reports, the assailants arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at close range, striking the driver multiple times before fleeing the scene. The attack occurred in a public area and was captured by nearby security cameras.

Emergency services were called, and the victim was transported to a local hospital, but he died from his injuries before receiving medical treatment.

Colleagues and local residents described the victim as an experienced public transport worker who had been operating routes in the area for many years. Authorities have begun collecting evidence and reviewing surveillance footage as part of efforts to identify those responsible. No arrests have been reported at this time.
