An attempted robbery was thwarted at a food establishment in the Los Frailes sector of Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic.

The incident occurred when several unidentified individuals arrived at the business on motorcycles with the apparent intention of carrying out a robbery. However, the situation was quickly brought under control.

A National Police officer assigned to the Criminal Investigations Department (DICRIM), who was present at the location in plain clothes, intervened and prevented the crime from taking place. No injuries were reported during the incident.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attempted robbery.
