Two young men were injured after a barrel exploded in the Mangueira neighborhood, in the western zone of Recife, Brazil. The incident occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday the 7th and was captured on a security camera.

The footage shows the moment one of the youths punctures the barrel with an object, while the other repeatedly lights a lighter and brings the flame close to the barrel. Seconds later, an explosion occurs. The force of the blast throws both young men into the air. One of them even strikes his head against another barrel before falling to the ground. Despite the impact, both manage to get up and leave the scene.
