A wedding celebration in the village of Amdirib, in the Batha province, ended in tragedy when a celebratory gunshot fired by one of the groom’s brothers struck the groom in the chest. The incident happened during the ceremony, instantly turning a joyful event into a devastating scene.

The groom was rushed to a hospital in Ati, where medical staff attempted to save him. Despite their efforts, he died shortly after arriving. What was meant to be a day of celebration became a moment of grief for the family and the entire community.
