Detectives in the United Kingdom are searching for a gunman who jumped out of a Mercedes and opened fire on a 19-year-old man in Huyton, Merseyside, on November 7.

The shooting occurred at around 8:50 p.m. on Manley Road. The victim was struck in the back and leg and taken to hospital, where he was initially listed in critical condition. Police have since confirmed his condition as serious but stable.

Home security footage circulating online shows the victim walking down the street while looking at his phone. A Mercedes suddenly stops beside him, and a man exits from the back seat, raises a handgun with both hands, and fires three times. The victim runs as the gunman returns to the car, which speeds away immediately after the attack.

Detectives believe the shooting was a targeted incident, though a motive has not yet been determined. No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
