On November 10, 2025, a small aircraft heading to Jamaica with hurricane-relief supplies crashed into a waterway in a residential neighborhood of Coral Springs, Florida. The aircraft went down shortly after taking off from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport and was bound for Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.

Two people aboard the plane died in the crash. No houses were struck and no one on the ground was injured.

Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board and other aviation-safety agencies have launched an inquiry into the incident to determine its cause.

The relief mission was part of efforts to support Jamaica following the landfall of Hurricane Melissa on October 28, which had caused extensive damage and loss of life.
